My name is Cisilya and I am a scientist in the Biotechnology industry. My research experience is focused on the research and development efforts of next-generation DNA sequencing platforms and associated workflows. This is my second semester at JHU and so far I am really enjoying the coursework and online format of the masters program. I am hoping to complete my coursework in three years. A few of my hobbies include cooking and eating all natural, nutritious foods, swimming, all fitness, reading, oceanography, astronomy, and animal shows.

This is a practice edit for my first post above. -Cisilya

Online Masters Programs[edit]

Johns Hopkins University offers a great and flexible online Biotechnology program that is completely virtual. The professor moderates the classroom through a Blackboard format where students can view and do their assignments as well as participate in a discussion forum as a part of the self-teaching process.

Study Tips[edit]

In order to do well in the course, it is important to participate in the discussion forum on a daily basis and turn work in by the due date.
