Acosta Tequila[edit]
Acosta Tequila is a small batch, luxury tequila company founded by Mexican-American entrepreneur Frank Acosta. He founded the company on a mission is to honor his heritage and pay tribute to the beauty and traditions of Mexico.[1] The bottle has the distinct design of a pyramid and features a jaguar emblem. According to Frank Acosta, who designed the bottle,"...when you see this bottle you see Mexico."[2]
Tequilas[edit]
Acosta Tequila uses 100% blue Weber agave grown in the red volcanic soils of Jalisco, Mexico. The piñas are slow baked in stone ovens for 42 hours and fermented using natural yeast[3]. There are currently two types of ulta-premium tequilas offered: Añejo and Extra Añejo.[4] The Añejo is aged in French cognac barrels up to 18 months and is certified Kosher[5]. The Extra Añejo is a limited run of 300 bottles and aged in an American oak barrel with no added sugars.[6]
