Diffusing the Nuclear Threat[edit]

As of 2009 there are no studies that estimate the risk of the current approaches to nuclear weapons. A preliminary risk analysis by Martin Hellman indicates that the risk we face and found that it was equivalent to having your home surrounded by thousands of nuclear power plants. There is a real need for formal in-depth studies to be performed. Learn more by visiting http://nuclearrisk.org.
