World Cup race podiums in Infobox of the alpine skiers[edit]

Mikaela Shiffrin

SportAlpine skiing
Medal record
World Cup race podiums
Event 1st 2nd 3rd
Slalom 47 11 8
Giant slalom 14 7 9
Super-G 4 1 3
Downhill 2 1 2
Combined 1 0 0
Parallel 5 1 1
Total 73 21 23

I believe that having it, such as it is in Mikaela Shiffrin in the German Wikipedia, is very useful. Among other things, the template with the total sum of podiums exists and is used in the same infobox for medals in international events. To object that the template is "medal template" and not also "podium template" is an inconsistent justification, because the title of the template itself would specify that it is podiums. Are you for or against its use? --Kasper2006 (talk) 19:11, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK, so here is the right place for the discussion. I will add more later today or tomorrow. --Marbe166 (talk) 11:51, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Remember that I am waiting for an answer because to "your lordship" for 4 years the table of podiums in the world cup, we gave the example of Lindsey Vonn, it went well and then suddenly you decided (arbitrarily and without asking the opinion of the community) to eliminate it from that and dozens and dozens of other articles by especially active skiers --Kasper2006 (talk) 12:12, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
But then, honestly, I say this table is so beautiful and clear I don't understand what annoyance it can give you? --Kasper2006 (talk) 12:17, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Template colors[edit]

The color of the template headings is almost precisely the color of hyperlinks, so the show/hide next to the medals is invisible, at least on my monitor. (note that on mobile the show/hide link is not there.) I'm not sure how to change it, or if changing it would have adverse effects on other pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OnTheWaySomewhere (talkcontribs) 08:42, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Including all parameters from Infobox person[edit]

It's a relatively simple change to make this template wrap {{Infobox person}} and support all the parameters of that other template (in addition to the existing parameters). This wrapping is implemented in the sandbox. It makes some minor changes to the layout --- see the test cases for the changes.

Wrapping Infobox sportsperson instead of Infobox person?[edit]

I think it would be more appropriate to wrap {{Infobox sportsperson}} rather than {{Infobox person}}, inheriting all of the sportsperson parameters rather than the more generic person parameters. This is a simple change, shown in the sandbox at the test cases. The main cosmetic change will be a new section header at the top of the infobox, with some field reordering.
