@A.S. Brown: nothing wrong with the template that I'm aware of. If you follow the instructions in the Info box in the documentation, it will work as designed. As discussed in more detail here, generally speaking, copying portions of a template's wikicode onto another page is not guaranteed to work, and may have unforeseen negative consequences.
