Preparatory schools

Maritime academies

Are these state or federally supported institutions? The ones currently on the list are federally supported. If they are just state supported, then probably not. In the other case, it makes me wonder what the status is with regards to the Merchant Marines and their status with regards to the military. We are talking about the military academies here (no disrespect intended, just accuracy). — BQZip01 — talk 04:37, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Each of them are state-supported colleges, whose students may (but are not required to) become commissioned reserve officers with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, or the U.S. Marine Corps. Streltzer (talk) 07:31, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm an A&M grad and was in the Corps there. I'm not entirely sure of the status of the TMA, but I know the school itself is actually part of the main campus in College Station. As to whether their Corps is technically separate from the Main University's Corps, I don't know. If you have a reference to back up your assertion, we could certainly add another line in the template. Phrasing might be the only major problem. Aside from that, BE BOLD!!! I personally prefer the policy of WP:BRD. If someone doesn't like it, we can always change it or revert it to its previous form. — BQZip01 — talk 05:29, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Graduate schools

  • I like the addition, however, my suggestion would be to move this section below the primary focus of the navbox, which is the federal service academies. Streltzer (talk) 22:40, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
