• ... that Sergei Bondarchuk, the director of the Academy Award-winning Soviet film War and Peace, first offered the role of Pierre Bezukhov to Olympic weightlifter Yury Vlasov?

• Comment: Prose part was expanded five-fold on 6 Sept. 2012, the eve of the 50th anniversary for the beginning of principal photography (7.9.1962), which is also the anniversary of the Battle of Borodino. New input includes reliable info concerning the film's budget and number of extras involved, which were the subject of much hyperbole.

• Article was five-fold expanded on 6 September, and was nominated in time. Article is well-written and supported by inline citation (except the plot) mostly in offline sources or in Russian. Hook is short enough and backed up by a couple of citations, which I AGF that support the hook-fact. The picture should not be used, as it doesn't look good at this size. QPQ has not been done, but your talk-page tells me that this is your second DYK-nomination (am I right?), which means that you don't have to do a QPQ. Mentoz86 (talk) 10:27, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

1. There is no need to AGF on the hook, two of the references are online and only require Google Translate.

2. Replaced the picture with one of Vlasov himself from Commons, hope it's OK.

3. This was my first DYK, I have since then reviewed the DYK entries of Andreas Boltz and Mah Laqa Bai.

• On WP:DYK#Images you can read the criteria for pictures in DYK, and both your pictures fail these criteria. There is no need for you to get another picture, as only 1 of 8 hooks have a picture on the main page. Mentoz86 (talk) 14:38, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
