  • I like the existing hook better than the alt hooks. The source is good, articles are all new, length okay. One concern: all three articles have "citation needed" tags. Those need to be resolved either by finding the information about these climbers (shouldn't be hard) or eliminating the material. On the Middlemore page, I found myself wondering about the ascent of the Jungfrau, probably should take that out if it can't be verified. Otherwise fine. I'll keep this watched.   • One of them, Middlemore maybe, still has a tag. Also I checked Cordier's image and am fairly certain it's not PD. I don't know if it can stay in the page, or has to be removed while the DYK is on the main page. Crisco 1492 might know the answer to that question. Truthkeeper (talk) 23:20, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

  • Okay, that's good. Once the image is sorted out, it's good to go. I don't think the image is in the public domain and wouldn't clear it for the main page, I've asked for a second opinion. Truthkeeper (talk) 19:54, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
  • If the author information is correct (and our article on Henry Duhamel), the image of Cordier is PD in France and the United States. Our article says Cordier died in 1917, which would mean the image (if unpublished) would have been PD in 1987 in both the US and France. If published around the time of Cordier's death, it would be PD in the US by virtue of being published before 1923. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:38, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
