Megane (movie)[edit]

  • "... that the Japanese art film Megane, described as "an ode to the pleasures of unhurried living," was given its name after the director realised most characters wore glasses?"

  • Hook: Short enough, cited... technically true, but I'm not keen on it.
Article: New enough, long enough. Referencing has issues. IMDB is not a reliable source. What makes this a reliable source? Original research tag added. External links should not be in running text. Regarding prose, 3 rotten and 2 fresh out of 5 top critics at Rotten Tomatoes is not "generally favourable"; that's "mixed", for sure. The titles of magazines should be italicised. Plot summary doesn't need a reference. Paraphrasing looks okay.
Summary: Sourcing and text issues. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:55, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
Issues resolved (hopefully). I added an alternate hook that may be more to your liking. Thank you so much for reviewing this. Ligne11 (talk) 06:22, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
  • ALT is better, but not as interesting as it could be. Do you have another source for the origin of the film's name? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 06:38, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
  • I just found a ref for the name origin on the korean msn page + added that tidbit back into the article. Feel free to propose a hook with that info. Thanks! Ligne11 (talk) 07:26, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Looks good. How about something like ALT3 "... that the Japanese art film Megane, described as "an ode to the pleasures of unhurried living," was given its name after the director realised most characters wore glasses?" or ALT4 "... that the Japanese art film Megane was named when the director realised most characters wore glasses?" — Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:02, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Fantastic. I put Alt3 up at the top. Thanks a million. Ligne11 (talk) 16:31, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Alright, ALT3 is good to go. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:52, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
