Infection (2019 film)

  • ... that though the 2019 post-apocalypse film Infection had a low budget, it saved money on set design by filming in Venezuela, which has been described as "a pre-made film set"? Source: All in this English video.

  • I like the hook (although a possible ALT about the film being Venezuela's first zombie move could also be proposed), but right now I would suggest the article be copyedited a little because the grammar is a bit awkward in some places, such as in the Production and Reception sections. ALT1 is also good, but it might be a good idea to mention that horror films are popular in that country, or that it may have been banned due to apparent anti-Chavismo sentiment. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:38, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
  • ALT2: ... that 2019 film Infection is the first zombie film made in Venezuela, where horror is a popular genre, but is banned in the country?
  • @Narutolovehinata5: What do you think of Alt2? I think that also makes it more curious, readers might want to find out. Kingsif (talk) 02:57, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
ALT2 sounds good, but I'd reword it slightly as something like:
  • ALT2a ... the the 2019 film Infection, which is the first Venezuelan zombie film, has been banned in the country despite horror being a popular genre there?
Any thoughts on this revision? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 09:16, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
I find that too clunky at the end, as well as suggesting that being banned has more of a connection to the horror genre. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Kingsif (talk) 17:55, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
  • Article meets DYK requirements: is new enough, long enough, adequately sourced. QPQ has been done. I will leave the final hook choice to the promoter, but if we're going to go with ALT2/ALT2A, the exact sentence discussing the ban would need a footnote. • Could you elaborate on 'footnote'? Kingsif (talk) 01:06, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
"In Venezuela, the film was banned" and "he says that, instead, it has been censored because of its anti-Chavismo content" need footnotes since they are the sentences that support ALT2/ALT2A. I'd also suggest changing the first to something like "The film was banned in Venezuela" and doing the same to other similar sentences since that reads and flows better. Ah, yes - made those edits! Kingsif (talk) 01:59, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, should be good to go. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:14, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
