Georgina Amorós

Created by Kingsif (talk). Self-nominated at 17:04, 4 January 2020 (UTC).

Interesting life, but short, too short for DYK, please expand. You may want to add reviews, write more lead, and mention some facts from the tables in prose. (Tables don't count for DYK.) Sources look fine, mostly Spanish, accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. How about using your nice pic, or a crop of it? - In the original hook, I'd mention the languages, instead of saying "three". I'm not sure if her excitement is encyclopedic ;) - I gave you two interlanguage links, - please check if colleagues and films could also be linked that way. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:50, 5 January 2020 (UTC)

ALT2: ... that the [Spanish] actress Georgina Amorós (pictured) has worked in three languages: Catalan, Spanish, and English?
I don't see why alt1 is struck - it's a fun fact and is sourced, is there some other issue? Kingsif (talk) 21:15, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: Expanded now with an additional 1500 bytes of prose - I always seem to forget to deduct tables, I also forget how to do that. Also added another source for the languages. Kingsif (talk) 21:32, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for ALT2, but I moved it doen to the signature which came with it.
I approve ALT2, - perhaps you could find someone else for the fun fact ;) - There's a DYK check available, which you have to install. I forgot what how, but trust that you can find it. It's not flawless when it comes to expansions, but is quite useful in general. -I'd understand if you'd drop "Spanish" in the hook, - the languages place her. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:45, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
It's interesting (to me, at least) that you suggest dropping Spanish because of the language - her native language is Catalan, being from Barcelona. I don't know if adding that helps place her or not, though. And since you suggested image, I'll drop it in here, for whomever to make a decision on. Kingsif (talk) 21:50, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
I formatted the pic for you (and the prep builder's ease). For Montserrat Caballé, there was debate whether to call her Catalan ot Spanish, - so I think mentioning both languages instead might solve a political problem. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:10, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. Yes, maybe it should just be "... that actress...", sans nationality, both languages mentioned. Kingsif (talk) 22:12, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
I modified it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:18, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
