  • Hook with spaces is 222 characters, without spaces is 188. Needs to be shortened. Propose alternative, and please cite currency in hook and article because actual currency changes meaning and impact of hook.
  • Length and timeliness check. Image on article has fair use rationale. Plagiarism check: here no problems, here is meh, here, here, here. I don't see anything that gives me major cause for concern. Hook is supported by sources. Article hook is supported by citation. Article has inline citations and is completely cited.
  • There might be POV issues here, with issues of potential undue weight. (On the other hand, the game isn't out yet.) The article is about a video game that isn't even officially named yet. The focus is almost exclusively on kickstart fundraising. It seems like it would be better on Wikinews as a result. Not certain what to make of it as a result from a POV viewpoint. --LauraHale (talk)

Needs a shorter hook before going forward. Needs a second opinion on WP:NPOV based on WP:UNDUE issues. --LauraHale (talk) 11:33, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

  • ALT 1 - that Double Fine Productions raised more than $1 million in a record-breaking, crowd-sourced Kickstarter funding drive in under 24 hours for their upcoming adventure game?
    • I do recognize that there might be a POV issue here and yes, the game's not even named or the like. I'm trying to focus not so much on the game but the magnitude of the funding drive effort that exceeded many expectations. Suggestions for improvement are very welcome. --MASEM (t) 17:19, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
      • The game not being named yet makes the whole thing seem a bit early. I don't know if it would survive an AFD with anything but a merge into the video game company because the whole thing really feels like something better suited for Wikinews, and with an unnamed project, Wikipedia future predicting since so much hinges on that. --LauraHale (talk) 20:28, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
        • Understandably so; those concerns were issues for myself before I started the article. Even before I created the article, I asked our VG project about it, and they agreed that there was enough coverage of the fundraising at the time to merit an article; the fact that the coverage of that fundraising has gotten significant attention makes me comfortable the article won't be deleted in the short term. --MASEM (t) 20:57, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
based on ALT1 if person moving is comfortable with the POV issue. --LauraHale (talk) 20:28, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
