Catatonia (band)[edit]

Cerys Matthews in 2006
Cerys Matthews in 2006

5x expanded by Miyagawa (talk). Self-nominated at 21:57, 2 April 2016 (UTC).

  • Expansion is new enough and long enough. I know this article represents a lot of research and work--nice job with it, great image! Copyvio detector didn't find any inappropriate direct quoting. Much of the information, including the information in the hook, comes from an offline book, which looks like it contains the information cited (I did a few keyword searches).
  • Quotes about the band are not exact. The "overlooked" quote from the Washington Post article doesn't say the word "overlooked" and the Guardian article doesn't say "poetic", though it does describe a song as "poetry."
  • I'm not sure if the hook has broad appeal. Perhaps you can keep the gist of the current hook and clarify that the breakup was between the two main songwriters, or that their relationship was long-term, as a causal reader won't know their history. Or maybe another aspect of the band is better hook-material. What do you think? Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 17:23, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
  • I've struck that hook as when I wrote it, it was correct from the sources. But having expanded the article some more since I nominated the article, the breakup took place during the process of touring for the previous album. I've suggested a couple more below. I've changed the "poetic" bit to reflect "poetry" instead, and fixed the url for the Washington Post citation - it'd some how ended up linking to a summary instead of the full article. The quote itself is a few lines into the first paragraph. Miyagawa (talk) 17:59, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
The ALT hooks are supported by sources and short enough. I like ALT 2 but I think any one of them would work well. I don't have any other issues with the nomination.Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 21:33, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
