Merger proposal[edit]

We have 2019 Venezuelan blackout and Energy crisis in Venezuela; I do not see the usefulness in having yet another separate article about the energy situation in only one state.

I propose that this article (Zulia energy collapse) be merged to Energy crisis in Venezuela. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:55, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This seems like a no brainer. The existence of this article is really a bad example of Wikipedia:Recentism. But why not start a formal merger discussion, SandyGeorgia? —Brigade Piron (talk) 15:47, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Brigade Piron:, I thought I had (???) ... sorry if I missed something, have been kind of busy editing. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:03, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@SandyGeorgia:, take a look at Wikipedia:Proposed mergers. —Brigade Piron (talk) 08:30, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Brigade Piron. --MaoGo (talk) 17:04, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose on the grounds that Zulia seems to have been particularly affected, and the 62 references in the article support independent notability. I think that the best solution is just to link the two articles more clearly, which I have started with a link in the see also section of the broader article. Closing, somewhat boldly, given the uncontested objection. Klbrain (talk) 08:00, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
