RFC - Article is written as a Shakespeare fictional plot[edit]

While reading the article and looking at the references, I realized that its written as a Shakespeare fictional plot instead of any historical facts. The reference where most of the contribution comes from, is by Ramananda Chatterjee, ed. (1909). The Modern Review, Volume 6. Modern Review Office. p. 205. This was not a historical book nor was Ramananda Chatterjee an historian but just an editor of the magazine. The Modern review was a magazine written for entertainment including essays poems, stories, travelogues, and sketches. So this reference shouldn't be considered reliable. More opinions are welcome. User:TrangaBellam, User:Alivardi, would like your opinions as I saw you both are experienced and had some contributions to this article, what are your thoughts? For instance, read this paragraph "This move of hers robbed the prince of his senses and self-control. With importunity he procured her from his aunt's house, and became infatuated and given up to her, in spite of all his severe continence and temperance and pure training in theology. The story goes that one day she offered him a cup of wine and requested him to drink it. All his professions of reluctance and entreaty were disregarded. Then the poor prince was (at last) about to drink it, when that sly enchantress snatched away the cup (from his hand) and said "My purpose was to test your love and not to embitter your mouth with this wicked and unlucky liquor!"" And here is another one "on seeing a fruit-laden mango-tree, in mirth and amorous play advanced, leaped up and plucked a fruit, without paying due respect to the prince's presence."

Really? Is this history or plot for Disney story? MehmoodS (talk) 13:27, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

MehmoodS, for reasons unknown I had missed this while reverting a vandal. I think you are right but let me take a look! TrangaBellam (talk) 13:50, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
