Romanization of surname[edit]

Online news sources seem to romanize the surname as "Yoon" instead of "Yun". If this is due to his own preference instead of just being how the news sources romanized the name, then the page should be renamed. YooChung 06:05, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He never used the name Yun while he was living in Indiana. CanadianCofee 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Notability[edit]

Why should he be notable? --TheFEARgod (Ч) 20:26, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He probably isn't in the rest of the world. However, in South Korea he's pretty big news, being the first soldier to die in hostile action overseas in decades. (Being on the front page of newspapers and on national TV news probably counts as being notable.) YooChung 01:22, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs to be deleted[edit]

This person (and I speak with all due respect to the deceased) is an complete and utter anonymous to the rest of the world, and the fact that he is the first Korean KIA since Korean war is absolutely irrelevant to the non Korean rest of the world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.111.211.226 (talk) 11:50, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
