Copyright

Regarding the "This article or section may have been copied and pasted from a source, possibly in violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy" warning currently at the top of the page: If there are revisions that have copyright violations, please use Template:Copyvio-revdel to ask that the copyright-violating revisions be deleted once the copyright-violating material has been replaced or removed. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:56, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

  • An editor added this template to the top of the article but he did not specify any parameters so it's unclear what revisions are copyright violations. I am posting here because the editor was not logged and the editor's IP address may or may not change, so I can't rely on talking to him on his "user talk page." Dear editor, please go to Template:Copyvio-revdel. If you can fill in the parameters yourself, please do so and place the template back on the page. If you are unsure how to fill in the parameters or you are not sure which revisions of the page need to be revision-deleted, please reply here and I or someone else will help you. Prior to placing this template, the copyright violation must be removed, as the current revision cannot be revision-deleted. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 03:16, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
My concerns were stated here [1], in which I've requested assistance from others, in part because I'm not sure that copyright issues persist. I've also asked whether the format and tone are still promotional, and noted the presence of COI accounts. Thanks, 2601:188:0:ABE6:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 04:18, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the update. Template:Copyvio-revdel is to handle past copyright problems, not present ones. If you know of any revisions that are blatant copyright violations which need to be revision-deleted, that's what this template is for. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:44, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
I am trying to remedy this issue, but do not find any desription based on the the following link: [2]. If somebody could provide the details, I will edit, but otherwise I'll remove the tag in one week.Rrdkent (talk) 13:39, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
OK, I made the edits, will wait one week before I take off the tag unless I hear something.Rrdkent (talk) 21:56, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Heard nothing, so I'm removing the tag 50.90.52.213 (talk) 21:22, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

Revisiting this, by coincidence. Yes, parts of the Academics section appear to have been copied. And much of the section is more along the lines of a brochure, rather than an encyclopedia entry in tone. 2601:188:180:1481:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 20:55, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

  • Cool, let me know if the changes I made are better, particularly in the section flagged under Academics or they need additional work. Rrdkent (talk) 00:25, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
I have searched online for the sections that were copied and can no longer find copied sections. So I am going to remove the flag. Feel-free to re-raise if you can find an issue. Rrdkent (talk) 21:40, 9 August 2019 (UTC)

OK, I've changed a bunch of the language that was more advertisal, please let me know if there are other sections otherwise I'll remove the tag at the top. Rrdkent (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:38, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
