Issue list[edit]

There was a discussion on rec.arts.comics.marvel.universe group about the reading order for the books in this series. One member (NorthBridge- <ezarroxo_624@yopmail.com>) posted the suggestion:

  1. Uncanny X-Men #500
  2. Astonishing X-Men #25
  3. Uncanny X-Men #501
  4. Astonishing X-Men #26
  5. X-Men: Legacy #215
  6. Cable #6
  7. Secret Invasion: X-Men #1
  8. Uncanny X-Men #502
  9. Astonishing X-Men #27
  10. X-Men: Manifest Destiny #1
  11. Young X-Men #6
  12. Secret Invasion: X-Men #2
  13. Uncanny X-Men #503
  14. X-Men: Manifest Destiny #2
  15. Young X-Men #7
  16. Secret Invasion: X-Men #3
  17. Wolverine: Manifest Destiny #1
  18. Uncanny X-Men #504
  19. Astonishing X-Men #28
  20. X-Men: Manifest Destiny #3
  21. Young X-Men #8
  22. Secret Invasion: X-Men #4
  23. Wolverine: Manifest Destiny #2
  24. Uncanny X-Men #505
  25. X-Men: Manifest Destiny #4
  26. Young X-Men #9
  27. Wolverine: Manifest Destiny #3

"This is most certainly incomplete."

Another member (Billy Bissette) commented: "I don't really think there is a reading order to Manifest Destiny. It wasn't even really an event.

"Manifest Destiny was just a logo thrown on top of the various X-books while the main X-Men team relocated to San Francisco. And was used as an excuse to pump out a mini-series of short stories of related and unrelated characters that otherwise wouldn't have sold half as much."
