Should the Spikes brothers really be credited as lyricists on a "standard"?[edit]
I tried looking up their lyrics, and I just kept seeing the song referred to as an "instrumental". In one of the few references to them as lyricists, I read that their lyrics are "almost never performed". https://andrewoliver.net/2018/10/31/complete-morton-43-wolverine-blues/ I'm admittedly not an expert on jazz standards, but it doesn't sound very standard for people to never use anything you added to a song. 2601:244:200:2680:51EB:EEB6:B995:9E7C (talk) 06:11, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
