I didn't put up the cleanup tag, but I see a few problems with the article.

Wikipedia encourages the use of sections. For a painter, the sections might include biography, themes in his work, and influence or criticism of his work.
You might want to read the manual of style and the corresponding biography manual of style for pointers on what in the article needs to be fixed.
You need to avoid weasel words.
You should cite your sources so that this doesn't appear to be original research. Especially, all quotatins need a citation
Articles should not include a gallery of images. If you discuss the paintings in the body of the article, you can incorporate those images into the corresponding text.

You're off to a good start, but to have a good article or featured article you would need to do a lot of work. Good luck, and thanks for contributing.Karanacs 17:59, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
