Contesting speedy delete[edit]

Speedy-delete tag is not appropriate because his notability is asserted as the inventor of the eyelash curler. If you believe that he is not notable, that should be handled by a PROD or AfD, per Wikipedia guidelines and policy. His notability is further asserted and demonstrated because eyelash curler (his invention) is a Wiki-article. Having several patents on the device in three countries seems to be notable. I will, of course, abide by the Wiki-community. It would be nice to see more comments and a true consensus, which is what an AfD would bring. Thanks. I have also added another secondary reference, as suggested by the notability tag, to further demonstrate notability. Truthanado (talk) 00:55, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Two things. First, A7 is about asserting importance, not actually notability. Second, you're still absolutely right. The article does assert the importance of the subject, so I have removed the speedy tag. If editors believe it should be deleted, they should take it to AfD. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 01:25, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
