Personnel[edit]

Additional personnel clearly needed here, but AMG is not enlightening. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:25, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ray Charles In Person vs. What'd I Say[edit]

One anonymous user recently deleted the line stating that the album What'd I Say was re-issued as Ray Charles in Person. After a quick check around the web it appears the album Ray Charles in Person was in fact a re-issue of What'd I Say. I'll try to do some more thorough research into this but for now I have re-inserted the line about the re-issue title. Pugetbill (talk) 22:09, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

After more research I have changed my opinion and realize the anonymous user mentioned above was correct. Ray Charles in Person is NOT a re-issue of What'd I Say. Apparently an error in an Allmusic.com review is the source of much confusion on this point. In the allmusic.com review of Ray Charles in Person, William Ruhlmann states "...This album is a reissue of What'd I Say...". However jazzdisco.org lists them as two distinct albums (one live, one a studio album) with separate recording dates, release dates and personnel. And there are two separate Atlantic records numbers for these two releases. I have today, created a new wikipedia article for Ray Charles in Person and have made the necessary corrections to this What'd I Say (album) article. I hope this helps Pugetbill (talk) 01:59, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
