Last year you are a micronation...

Now today User:JoshuaZ, User:JzG and User:Kingboyk have collectively decided to terminate Republic of Whangamomona's status as a Micronation.

I don't know what the tradition is when a micronations is expunged in wikipedia. I hope my simple signed condolence is sufficient to farewell this once (yearly) proud micronation:

My Condolences[edit]

  • Farewell Whanga, though I never had a beer in your pub, you were in my subconcious.
    • (somewhere, on the other side of hobbits hole and down a loooong winding road)

Rumours of it's death are greatly exaggerated[edit]

It lives on, in the attached article, it just doesn't get undue weight. --kingboyk 12:59, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The important issues are that Whangamomona:

  • did declare it'self a republic,
  • do issue 4000+ passport every year (I would guess more then the Vatican City)
  • It's presidential elections are probably free-er and fairer then many countries in Africa.
  • It regularly gets reported in the media and google, eg. just do a google on:

Yet 3 satellite contributors expunge it's micronations status.

I do wonder what other micronations will be reviewed next?

As this is a wiki, possibly all of them. --kingboyk 13:56, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure[edit]

if the people in Whangamomona understand what the words 'republic' or 'independance' mean because they keep preciously a NZ flag in their headquarters, this is doubly embarrassing because, as you know, the said"NZ flag" basically says NZ is a british colony in the southern hemisphere... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.88.153 (talk) 02:41, 13 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
