Chesapeake and Ohio 1309Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 1309 – As the locomotive is now owned by the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad for their excursion service, and because it no longer bears any lettering in reference to the Chesapeake and Ohio, I think it's only fair enough to have the page renamed to reflect the new owner. This is similar to another existing page: Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 734. The result of the move request was: not moved. Consensus is that article title should be use after the subject's current owner, regardless of consistency with other articles in the category. (non-admin closure) Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 19:04, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 1309Chesapeake and Ohio 1309 – Convention for preserved individual locomotives is to use their main service, not preserved operator as evidenced by Category:Individual locomotives of the United States. Was renamed in 2021 as a result of a requested move, propose reverting to align with all other members of Category:Chesapeake and Ohio locomotives. Beconrase (talk) 02:36, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose, it is best to keep the pages named in relation to their current owners instead of the historical owners. The sole exception is the pages for Strasburg's locomotives. Davidng913 (talk) 02:18, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no need to redirect this page as “Chesapeake and Ohio 1309”. Whether we like it or not, this particular locomotive is currently owned and operated by WMSR, not the C&O. I would rather keep these pages named, out of respect for the locomotives’ current owners. If people wanna find out where these locomotives came from, that’s what the history sections are for. Text problem misunderstandable[edit]

History>Description>1st paragraph. Reverence to "30 years earlier". I think I know what writer means, but that is not what this paragraph says syntactically. With no mention of "1949" it reads as if writer means WWI was 30 years before 1911. 75.90.39.159 (talk) 16:28, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
