Place of death[edit]

If one refers to the German state Hanover at "place of birth" then one should although refer to the state at the "place of death" which is Prussia. I corrected this.

Werner or Ernst Werner[edit]

Although Ernst Werner is the correct name, Siemens is usually referred to as 'Werner von Siemens'. -- mamut 15:06, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Which one?[edit]

Siemens left school without finishing his education, but joined the army to undertake training in engineering....

Do we know which army? Hanover was a kingdom after 1815 and its union with the United Kingdom (via the Hanoverian Succession) ended in 1837. It remained a kingdom until 1866, when it was annexed by Prussia.
