This terrible article should be deleted and used as a redirect to the "war loot" subsection of the looting article. Anything decent here (there's not much) should be moved over there. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 18:54, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd rather we use the subsection to improve this article; the subject is notable and deserves expansion. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 19:06, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Giving this article the expansion it deserves would make it too large and unwieldy for merging into another already big ass article. Let the fucker hang here like christ on the cross, and either myself or someone less wrapped up in other things will fix it. -Brother Dave Thompson (talk) 12:44, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect. This article should redirect to Looting#War_loot and have any of its NPOV, well-sourced info merged there. This article is poorly written, and its poor citations make it difficult to legitimately merge any valuable content into Looting; luckily, many sources are available. Some of its content is certainly notable, but any rigorous cleanup would only result in stub. Ruodyssey (talk) 09:39, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You mean Yamashita's gold? Probably deserves a mention, as we expand the article and create a section on the notabl examples of war loot. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 17:45, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Translate from German and Russian wikis[edit]

A cursory glance at articles in other languages suggets that there is substatnial material to be translated from German and Russian wikis. Polish wiki article has been written by me, mostly by translating the key points from the English article and then searching for references :> and as such it should be mostly integrated with this one by now. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 17:53, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
