"In popular culture" section

Arno789 (talk · contribs) previously inserted an "in popular culture" section to the article, which consisted of nothing more than material as it related to the film Flags of our fathers. This material was either shortened or delete by IronGargoyle (talk · contribs) and 98.234.143.40 (talk · contribs) with Arno reinserting the material on each occasion. I likewise removed the material for the following reasons:

  1. None of the content is cited
  2. It constitutes fringe material in the broader scheme of war bonds
  3. The quoted material clearly violates WP:NOFULLTEXT
  4. The content is inconsistent with policies and guidelines such as WP:ORIGINAL
  5. It's way too long. A simple statement (with citation of course) of "United States war bond drives during the World War II is a central theme of the 2006 movie Flags of Our Fathers" might be acceptable. 2K of text is not.--Labattblueboy (talk) 16:29, 8 October 2016 (UTC)
