Untitled[edit]

This entry was created in response to the kiwiana entry, which makes reference to "stubbies" and "walk shorts" with no description. This page desperately needs pictures and a contemporary account of walk shorts and their place in New Zealand culture.

Australia[edit]

Is this really a NZ phenomenon? Walk socks are also worn in Australia, and have a long history in the British Commonwealth (see, e.g. Bermuda, as well as the summer shorts uniforms of the Commonwealth navies, police, armies, &c.). It would be stranger not to wear long socks with shorts. Steepleman (t) 08:42, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
