Context and notability[edit]

I have taken some time to improve this article. I think I have cleared the notability issue (there is a lot of "significant coverage" in many reliable publications, I handpicked a few, hope it will be ok). As for the context, I don't really know how to approach the matter, I tried to clarify what I could but it would be quite overkill to reexplain what Edo or the Shogunate are. So I made it as "to the point" as possible.Tensaibuta (talk) 14:00, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tried to put myself into a layperson's shoes to see how it goes for the context. Hope it's fine like this.Tensaibuta (talk) 00:05, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Info[edit]

I added an infobox to provide some overview of the article topic. There may be more information that can be added to it. I don't know if there is an appropriate image for this topic. Emflazie (talk) 18:27, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are interesting pics, including couple nice Ukiyoes outside of wikipedia (here and here) that depict Hokiichi teaching and would fit the bill (I guess), but I am not really sure how the copyright thing works in this case. If anyone feels like looking into that. Tensaibuta (talk) 12:12, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just added a picture from Wikimedia Commons. Emflazie (talk) 15:30, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks, it's more or less the same as Hanawa's article, but I guess it'll do. If someone can figure out properly the copyrights for the Ukiyoes, that'd be nice, but I guess we have a full article now. Just waiting for someone to review. Tensaibuta (talk) 15:43, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Assassination of Hanawa[edit]

I am trying to tackle the issue of the assassination of Hanawa in front of the Wagakukodansho. I am thinking of something like "Several sources mention a young Ito Hirobumi, future first Prime Minister of Japan, as the perpetrator.", with of course a list of sources. If anyone has a better idea....Tensaibuta (talk) 09:05, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
