Current State of Article[edit]

As it currently stands, the article reads like it was written by an employee of WWVA. I'm going to make a few changes. Radishes (talk) 06:28, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Done. I felt that the article had an overabundance of positive adjectives (i.e. saying a radio personality was "extremely popular" rather than just "popular." I also consolidated the article a bit by removing redundant content. Radishes (talk) 06:41, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As a youngster in the 1950's, I listened to Country & Western on WWVA late at night in upper New York State. I marveled at the ability of my transister radio to pull in a station so far away. I do not know whether the station's 50,000 watts explains how I was able to hear that station. I would invite someone with technical expertise to elaborate on this.
