Spamming and cleanup[edit]

this edit is the last edit for the station as it existed before the January 2008 change in ownership. The previous ownership ran it as a religious station. The current ownership runs it as a talk station. Previously, it was a sports station.

The spammed version of this article can be found here.

This article needs someone local to verify the current format. With the new ownership group, it could change to a religious format at any time if it hasn't done so already. The article also needs some cleanup in the history section. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:38, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ownership data from the FCC[edit]

In a series of edits from early June, I added ownership data from the FCC. I assumed that this reflected the actual change in the station ownership. Another editor has corrected this. I apologize for the misunderstanding. It is somewhat likely that the dates for the previous ownership changes are incorrect. Corrections with references are very much appreciated. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest[edit]

One or more logged-in editors and one or more IP addresses that are editing this article may be affiliated with the radio station. Editors who are affiliated with this station are reminded of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines.

In general, editors with conflicts of interests are welcome to remove incorrect material and to make technical edits such as fixing typos. They are also welcome to carefully replace incorrect info with correct info or add information which has been requested by other editors, provided doing so doesn't make the article unsuitable for Wikipedia, such as by turning it into an advertisement.

Before adding substantial new material, editors with conflicts of interests should read all Wikipedia policies and all relevant guidelines. After doing so, if they still feel that their substantial edit falls within the policies and guidelines and they are sure it will improve the article, they should post it to the talk page for discussion. Odds are high that if it is a good edit, another editor will come along and add it to the article in short order. If it is not a good edit, discussion will happen and the resulting good edit will be added. At least, that's the way it's supposed to work. If you make a suggested edit and several days go by without comment, AND you are sure your edit is a good edit with respect to the policies and guidelines, you can "take the risk" and add it to the article. The "risk" is that if it's not a good edit, you may be warned not to do it again, and if you do, your account may be blocked for COI-violations.

I will be monitoring the article and this talk page for good content from editors with conflicts of interests, so that they can be added to the article without undue delay. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mooted by July 2008 sale: The editor in question was affiliated with the previous owner. It is no longer a conflict of interest for him to edit this article. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 15:08, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Andy Johnson[edit]

Is Andy Johnson the same as Andrew E. Johnson? If so, does anyone have a reliable source so we can link these two articles together and put a short sentence about WZNZ on the Johnson page? davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 05:22, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:WQOP-AM WZNW-AM logo.png[edit]

Green tickY Resolved: Corrected typo in fair-use rationale. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:33, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The image File:WQOP-AM WZNW-AM logo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
