Interesting station history, fine expansion with good sources, no copyvio obvious. You will have to convince me that it is a good hook. Is it in the article that Dixie is a region? How can we equate Dixie and WDXI? On top of contractions not being formal WP language ... - I'd prefer if the last bit about it being silent was not only in the lead but also in the body. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:04, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dixie was a common term for the American South. You do have a point though, Gerda Arendt, that a non-US reader might be tripped up (though I linked it). I would be fine with "was not" in ALT0. Possible

For this non-US user, Dixie and Dixieland stand for a type of music ;) - Why don't we just drop to say what it is not, such as ending ALT1 after radio station?
