Was Schmidlapp an actor?[edit]

This article has categories for actors and singers, but every article and web page I've read only states he was a producer. That's what Schmidlapp's obituary, and articles about his adopted daughter's wedding and Carole Landis' death lists as his occupation. I've gone to IBDB and Broadway theater websites looking for acting credits, but only see him as a producer. I won't delete any of the categories because I'm no expert on his life, but if anyone has a reliable reference source showing acting or singing credits for him please add them to this article.Karenthewriter (talk) 14:19, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Characters Named Schmidlapp[edit]

There was a spate of comic characters named "Schmidlapp" or Schmidlap in TV and movies, mostly in the 1960s. Examples: Batman, Green Acres, Way Way Out (movie), Life of Riley, The Lucy Show, Scooby Doo, Newhart. Is there any connection between W.
