Possible image[edit]

Photo I took of the director of this film. I added it to the article; User:Amsaim removed it as not conforming to WikiProject Film. As I indicated on his talk page, WikiProject Film specifically mentions "free licence images…" of "cast and crew" as possible inclusions in articles on films. He hasn't responded to that, so I'm mentioning this here in case someone other than me believes this would be a good addition to the article. In any case, Munga deserves an article of his own, for which this would certainly be an appropriate image. -- Jmabel | Talk 15:09, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is time to move on to other things, hence you didn't see any reply. You placed the picture that you shot of WaMunga in the middle of the "Plot" section of the film article, where it surely does not belong. Wikipedia's film articles do not have pictures of directors placed in the "plot" section. As I have already written in my reply to you, WikiProject Film has several goals, including "to standardize the film articles in Wikipedia", which simply means that film articles should generally look alike in their basic structure. In general, Wikipedia film articles do not have the pictures of directors or producers in their articles (e.g. check these lists). Adding the picture of the director right in the middle of the article where it doesn't belong, goes against the goals of WikiProject Film. Can you show a couple of Wikipedia film articles where the picture of the film director is placed right in the middle of the film article?

In the meanwhile, the article of Djo Tunda Wa Munga has already been created on 29 May 2011 at 11:45 am (CET). Lastly, Wikipedia's Manual of Style Content Guideline for Films stipulates the following:

"...Free licence images can include filming locations, on-set photos, and photos of the cast and crew. The cast and crew can be photographed at the various premieres of the resulting film....". Cast & crew should thusly be photographed at various premieres of the resulting film. The picture you shot of WaMunga is not from the premiere of Viva Riva! and so, in addition to the standardization goal of WikiProject Film, it doesn't belong in the film article. It was not at the premiere, but it was at a showing of the film at a major festival (SIFF is the largest film festival in the US). You seem to have an enormous amount invested in not having this picture in the article. At this point, I am walking away from the matter. - Jmabel | Talk 00:23, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
