Label of "widespread acclaim"

Apologies if this is something of a nitpick or should be relegated to a different place – I'm a newer editor so I'm still learning the ropes. I don't think the term "widespread acclaim" is appropriate for the critical reception of the album. Maybe this is just me and I'm totally out of line here but I think a lot of people associate that label with albums that are absolutely lauded by critics as one of the greats. With the sources cited in the article I think calling the reception "generally positive" (or something in that vein) would be a more accurate way to describe how the album was received. The fact that fan reception was also quite mixed also makes saying the album received "widespread acclaim" seem too complementary, though I know that on Wikipedia there usually isn't a lot of focus on fan reaction. In general, I feel like "widespread acclaim" has become a very overused term on this site recently and that editors should be diversifying what language they use to describe how critics feel about albums.
