This article is ridiculously non-NPOV. Frankly I am stoned right now and it really made me laugh out loud how argumentative it is. Christopher M (talk) 09:28, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's pretty hard to take your comment seriously when you say you were on mind-altering drugs when you made it. However, you happen to be right. Schlesinger meant to differentiate his view of what the "vital center" is from other views of "centrism". If editors have any snippets of people using the term "vital center" in a different way, they should quote those sources directly...and even so, since Schlesinger wrote an entire book called "The Vital Center", it seems to me he's got more of a right to define what _he_ meant by it than people coming along who use the term afterwards do.
