Subject Title[edit]

Why is this Violin Sonata? More accurately it should be Violin & Piano Sonata. To me, "Violin Sonata" means just the Violin, no Piano Stephen Howe (talk) 15:29, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

While this may be confusing to the first-time reader, this is standard terminology, see violin sonata. Just like piano quartet does not usually imply four pianos, but a piano accompanied by a string trio. intforce (talk) 17:53, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
