on panicatthedisco.com it says the album is gonna be released on fueled by ramen/decaydance. why does it say here that it'll be released under atlantic?

why does some idiot keep making up fake names for songs and try to make them into rumored tracks. the ONLY rumored tracks are "Oh Glory!" and "New Perspective". can somebody please teach 71.somethingsomething that just because they think what they made up sounds cool, it doesnt mean patd will consider naming their songs that. Loving how someone thought they were confirmed, even rumoured. Niether brendon nor spencer has ever mentioned any of those track names. "watching you cringe is what i live for"? that is just rediculous. there has never been, nor is there, any record of anyone even affiliated with P!ATD even say those words. i sewar to god i could add "blah McBlahson The Blah Blah in Magic Blah Land" into the tracklist and some idiot would believe its a real track —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.228.21.51 (talk) 10:14, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Way too long & missing sources

I think this article is way too long for an unreleased album. Furthermore, the section 'possible tracks' lacks sources and consists, as far as I can tell as a not at all involved person, entirely of conjecture. Dublicate Tag

I don't think that this page should iterate so many past events (as the split for example) in such great detail, as this is already done in other articles. Furthermore, should, in my opinion, a lot of information on this page be condensed. It would greatly improve readability; where needed links can be placed to provide further information. Just noting this here: I removed the Mexican Albums Chart (it was apparently album #59) since I couldn't find a working link, as the provided link is dead. :( If anyone can find a working citation for this, feel free to re-add it! Yaminator ^talk 16:12, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Lyricists

This is pissing me off now since people are changing the information. I HAVE the deluxe bundle flip book, that says that the tracks were written by Brendon Urie, Spencer Smith, JOHN FELDMANN, and Butch Walker! Stop changing it! Panic Reaper (talk) 21:19, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

• The only problem with this section is that there should not be citations in the lead.

Background

• In August, the band once again announced they were writing again to MTV News. Writing what?
  • Good question. I removed the sentence since it doesn't seem to link up with either nearby sentences.
• "The band" is a singular entity, so "they" should not be used when referring to the band
  • What is Wikipedia's policy on using "they" as a indefinite singular antecedent? "They" sounds better when referring to "the band" than "it".

• In British English, a band would be referred to as they, even when saying "Coldplay are a British alternative rock band". However, when talking about an American band, the policy is to refer to groups as "it". To get around it when it is awkward to call the band "it", sometimes I like to say "the band members"; since it is now plural, you can then call them "they". Recording and production

• Try using other words instead of "band", possibly "group"
• The band was "very confused" after the split from Ross and Walker, desiring instead to go on tour to understand better. Understand what? Clarify
• After working with the demos produced during the summer with Feldmann for several months afterward, the duo decided they weren't satisfactory What wasn't satisfactory? Also, write out "weren't" as "were not"
• The biggest difference for the band was that it was now half the previous band, with Urie and Smith writing everything. Rewrite as "Urie and Smith had difficulty adjusting to the band's new lineup, as the two now had full songwriting responsibility."
• The quote about the producers' help needs a source
• On May 7, 2010, the band posted a batch of photos during recording sessions for Vices & Virtues. Where did the group post these photos, and what is their significance? This sentence seems a bit out of place
• Near the end of the writing process, the band looked back upon the lyrics and noticed that "some of the motion was pining for something, or some of it was vanity, or some of it touched on subversion or overthrowing of somebody or manipulation." This quotation is a bit abstract, possibly give some context as to what he meant in relation to the lyrics. Also, instead of "looked back upon", write "reviewed", and this quote needs a source
• "Urie likened it to the seven deadly sins" What did he liken to the seven deadly sins? The lyrics or the situation?

Music

• It might be nice to include a music sample here, but it is not a requirement
• In the beginning, the band had no direction for music or lyrics. What time was this? When Ross and Walker were still in the band? Or the early writing sessions? Be a little more specific
• ...employing an iPad to record synthesizer on the record. Synthesizer should be plural

• "A majority" should be "The majority"

• I recommend combining this section with the "Release" section to make a "Promotion and release" section
• Vices & Virtues received heavy popularity through online music stores Something about "received heavy popularity" sounds awkward, consider rewording

The "Reception" and "Vices & Virtues tour" sections look good!

• All sources need publication information (i.e. Billboard is published by Prometheus Global Media and MTV News is published by Viacom)

Album artwork

One the album art, who is the man wearing the goat mask in the background? Has there been any notes about this? I've heard rumours that it's Ryan Ross. Pete Wentz contribution

Hi, If you check the music publishers site (SonyATV.com) and search for this record it lists Pete Wentz as co-writer on eight of the tracks on the deluxe version. I'm not sure how this can be added as a reference as I'm not sure the site does direct links. Many lyric sites repeat this info, for example azlyrics Nitromaster (talk) 16:58, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

Bonus tracks on deluxe edition

The article states "Turn Off The Lights" and "I Wanna Be Free" as deluxe bonus tracks, but the deluxe editions on US iTunes and Amazon don't have them. However, Spotify, for example, does. Should we make mention of this? 2600:1700:9540:1E30:8D5:FB90:3810:575A (talk) 02:51, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
