Title[edit]

This game is called "Spider-Man & Venom: Separation Anxiety". I haven't done much editing as of yet, so I don't know how to change the title of this page. Illusionz

Contrary to yet another internet based old wives tale, the title is very much named "Venom Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety". I do not know where you even got the "&" on the title, Acclaim never promoted it as such, why are you promoting what is not what is?

Just read the box, read the manual, or read the cartridge. For crying out loud, Venom is given the lead spot on the cover art, Spider-Man is not shown in a background layer on the art out of coincidence. This needs to be fixed. EMU-LMAO (talk) 02:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I disagree. A Google search for "separation anxiety snes" (which I believe is appropriately neutral) finds 20 results for "Spider Man & Venom" and only 7 for "Venom - Spider Man". Additionally, the top six results (not counting this page on Wikipedia) were all "Spider Man & Venom". I believe that unless a photo of the box or the cartridge can be found, the page should stand as is. Yvh11a (TalkContribs) 03:49, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've found such a picture. Based on this better resolution image, I've changed my mind and edited my comments above to reflect my agreement with Muchness. Yvh11a (TalkContribs) 02:58, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Acclaim's own PR material refers to this game as Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (ref – there are more Acclaim press releases using this title available on-line via Factiva), so I'm inclined to support this as the preferred title. --Muchness (talk) 05:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wait. You used Google as your source? This is the internet, the home of mass mis-information. EMU-LMAO (talk) 21:47, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have owned this game since 1995 and actually still have the manual, the title is what Emu says only with a / as in Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety. Beast from da East (talk) 19:32, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Symbiote Spawns[edit]

I'm pretty sure of four out of the five names of Venom's children. Scream, Riot, Lasher, and Shriek, even though Shriek is already the name of another villian. I'm not sure about the black symbiote who looks like Venom. His human name is supposedly Carl, yet the symbiote name might be Phage or Hybrid or something else. Illusionz

No Shriek is not one of the symbiotes, the one you are missing is Phage, the black symbiote you first encounter in the game is Riot. Beast from da East (talk) 19:32, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SanxietySNES boxart.JPG[edit]

Image:SanxietySNES boxart.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Copyvio[edit]

I wanted to check in with someone in the know -- parts of this article read like they are from the game's instruction manual, which would be a copyright violation. If anyone knows for sure that this is so, please see Wikipedia:Copyright Problems for solutions. RPM (talk) 20:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is a copyvio. I know this for sure; I was the one who copied it out of the manual back when I was young and foolish and didn't know any better. Thanks for pointing it out to me...I'll rewrite the affected sections straightaway. Yvh11a (TalkContribs) 01:09, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deadpool[edit]

Someone who saw this game's cartdrige box could write in the page that Deadpool was featured in the box but he doesn't appear in the game?200.255.166.197 (talk) 04:26, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
