BLP, other thoughts[edit]

Spouse listed, children, no reason to expect them all to be dead, if they were real. I think the BLP tag should be restored but I am not doing it. Does that unsourced information belong? The "roped into" may also fall under BLP... the "roper" is not linked, and there is no reason to suppose death, AFAIK.Shajure (talk) 19:24, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding was that an empty refs section should not be added to articles.Shajure (talk) 19:24, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can, and probably should, follow the guidelines of BLP, as you say, there are living relatives to consider. That is why removed, and not just tagged with a "citaton needed", all of the accusations of murder and similar. But the Blp template should not be used as it would be confusing to other editors. The unref template is sufficient. I think blank ref sections are very useful, as they result in less experienced editors immediately seeing their refs if they add them, but don't add a reflist line. 23:00, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
