This article reads like a marketing fluff piece. It does not explain V-by-One technology at all, and the way it describes the benefits of V-by-One over HDMI and DisplayPort are very poor:
1) Claims HDMI is not as good because HDMI requires a license fee. But every television already has an HDMI connector, so the license fee has already been paid. However, HDMI is not currently a panel interface specification, it is a cable interface specification.
2) Claims DisplayPort is not as good because it "CAN" use HDCP copy protection, and using HDCP consumes more power. But, just because DisplayPort "CAN" use HDCP does not mean that it MUST. More to the point, there is a new, embeded DisplayPort interface which strongly challenges V-by-One in touchscreen and PC monitor applications.
There really is no serious comparison or technology description here, which is unfortunate. I know that V-by-One is used very widely, but I am not learning much about it from this article.
