Modifications to Description of Systems Command[edit]
I have made some minor changes at the end of this article. The original version stated that the Bureau of Naval Weapons was replaced by the Naval Air Systems Command (NavAir); in actuality NavWeps was succeeded both by NavAir and by the Naval Ordnance Systems Command, in effect reestablishing the pre-1959 distinction between the Bureau of Ordnance and the Bureau of Aeronautics. The original article also said that the Naval Ship Systems Command became NavSea, the Naval Sea Systems Command; NavSea was actually formed by the merger of the Naval Ships Systems Command with the Naval Ordnance Systems Command in 1974.Keacla1 (talk) 13:59, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
