Failed GA[edit]

I'm sorry, but I have to fail this is as a GA.

  • The lead section is the article, in terms of lead. You should have an intro (summary), and then the text in sections. See WP:LEAD.
  • You use many quotations but there's no citations or references
  • The layout and formatting is unconventional
  • There's no synopsis of the reviews the record has received, very little text of any substance

Please have a look at some of the album GAs and FAs to see the kind of standard an article needs to reach. Cheers. --kingboyk 18:46, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

  • Don't merge. Merging will make Under the Iron Sea very long and some information will be lost. This documents an event (currently on hiatus) and will be growing gradually--Fluence 22:30, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't merge. Albums and tours have different characteristics. If a tour is worth describing, it is worth describing in a separate article. 192.102.82.253 15:37, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge. It contains a lot of unverified information, together with personal opinion and comment. As an article, it is also very poorly written. The English is very non-standard and unecyclopaedic. Are Keane really a notable enough band to have an article devoted to almost every single thing they have ever done on Wikipedia? Richyard 21:05, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes--Fluence 21:28, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Many potential Keane fans dont know who Keane is :) jorge taveras

Article is too long[edit]

This article needs to be revised and delete a lot of useless information

information on songs[edit]

Doesn't really have information on the songs itself, just that if they've been released as a single or not

Individual song articles[edit]

Some die-hard fan seems to have gone through and written a series of articles about most of the individual songs on this album. Unfortunately his knowledge of music theory is lacking at best (there is no such thing as a key of Ebmaj7 or C6). Would suggest that all his articles were either corrected or deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reagar (talkcontribs) 02:06, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm re-reviewing this article.

Start:

  • Green tickY A reasonably complete infobox
  • Green tickY A lead section giving an overview of the album
  • Green tickY A track listing
  • Green tickY Reference to at least primary personnel by name (must specify performers on the current album; a band navbox is insufficient)
  • Green tickY Categorisation at least by artist and year

C:

  • Green tickY All the start class criteria
  • Green tickY A reasonably complete infobox, including cover art
  • Green tickY At least one section of prose (in addition to the lead section)
  • Green tickY A track listing containing track lengths and authors for all songs
  • Green tickY A "personnel" section listing performers, including guest musicians.

B:

  • Green tickY All the C class criteria
  • Green tickY A completed infobox, including cover art and most technical details
  • Green tickY A full list of personnel, including technical personnel and guest musicians
  • Red XN No obvious issues with sourcing, including the use of blatantly improper sources.
  • Green tickY No significant issues exist to hamper readability, although it may not rigorously follow WP:MOS

==Old review==

I've given a B-Class rating for this article as it's currently nominated for GA. It contains information about every song on the album.Fluence 22:40, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
