Routing[edit]

The Entire Length Of US 52 In South Carolina Is Signed West And East, Not South And North, Please Fix The Article 24.214.132.186 (talk) 02:21, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 24.214.132.186. Thanks for your suggestion. When you believe an article needs improvement, please feel free to change it. We encourage you to be bold in updating pages, because wikis like ours develop faster when everybody edits. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes—they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. You can always preview your edits before you publish them or test them out in the sandbox. If you need additional help, check out our getting started page or ask the friendly folks at the Teahouse.
Also, you don't have to capitalize every word in a sentence. Imzadi 1979  03:29, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You know you guys have edit features to change most of the entire article magically in minute right? But you did nothing, it’s been a month. Give me a very good detailed reason of why you didn’t (refused to) fix this article, turning US 52 in east and west route? What happened to Wiki employees especially you? Did Gen Z made them lazy and did nothing? Are you being lazy? Hmm 24.214.132.186 (talk) 23:20, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Dear 24.214.132.186: we're volunteers here, same as you. We have day jobs and family commitments, among other things, so we devote our time an attention to the things that interest us most. For the record, I'm not Gen Z, nor a Millennial, but rather a good ol' Gen X-er who doesn't take marching orders from people who make demands of others without offering to dive in and help.
The employees of the Wikimedia Foundation are limited to things like keeping the servers running and developing the software, and not editing the articles.
There is no way to rewrite text as you suggest "magically in [a] minute". It might not take long to flip the order of the junctions in the infobox and change the direction labels, but to change the direction of the rest of the article would involve completely rewriting all of the text in the route description and then carefully reversing the entire junction list table. None of that would be done as quickly as you imagine. So again, I invite you to dive into the article and start making the changes you think are so simple to do and report back to us when they're complete. Changing the junction order[edit]

Hey guys, since US 52 is actually signed east-west in South Carolina, can we change the junction to west-east order please, just as all other east-west US highways are signed? It helps the reader go from west to east and allows the order to be correctly shown. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 19:14, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No opposition, but as noted above, there's a lot of work to flipping the direction of the article. Imzadi 1979  08:16, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, that's fine by me. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 11:24, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
