There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Typhoon Matmo (2014) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 02:02, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: no consensus. It appears that typhoon naming conventions may conflict with the general Wikipedia naming conventions, in which case a broader conversation may be in order. In the meantime, there is no consensus for moving this article. (non-admin closure) Bradv 21:52, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose – iirc, the typhoon naming conventions say to use the year when a storm name applies to more than one storm. Dicklyon (talk) 06:27, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - notwithstanding Dicklyon's expertise on this topic, in this case it would seem that 2016 was the only Typhoon with its own article, so perhaps it is the primary topic or should be the primary redirect, with a hatnote to the 2010 instance.
