Untitled[edit]

This needs to be changed to disambiguation, since there's two wiki articles called 'Tunnel of Love', and this one just confuses the issue. The first one is in reference to a Bruce Springsteen song, the other is to the carnival ride. I don't see why a third entry was needed to redirect to one over the other. Really, a disambiguation should work better. -- -Kit Foxtrottalk

Done. I've tried to clean this one up as best as I can, and change the other redirects and articles as appropriate. Check it out, and if anything else doesn't line up, either fix it, or let me know and I will. adavidw 04:54, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dire Straits massive hit song[edit]

If someone were to type "Tunnel of love" in the search field, who's to say they aren't looking for the Dire Straits song "Tunnel of love"? And if there were an article on Dire Straits' song "Tunnel of Love' (a massive hit song) it most certainly would be notable. BabuBhatt 19:28, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"When adding this type of information, be sure to link to at least one existing article (band, album, et cetera)." Done prior to the deletion of the information. BabuBhatt 19:45, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And if someone were to type "Tunnel of love" in the search field, whose to say they aren't looking for information on my junior high clubhouse? Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. The song's not notable. It's not a massive hit song as it didn't chart anywhere. It doesn't meet any of the other tests of notability at WP:MUSIC/SONG. The fact that there isn't an article about the song to link to should also be some indication of it's notability. I would suggest that you create an article about the song, and if that article survives, then link to it from here. I'm not going to revert again or anything, but I would strongly urge you to either reconsider the addition, or support it with a well written article. adavidw 03:42, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why was the song on both Dire Straits' greatest hits compilations?
Please view the last two entries at Rock and roll (disambiguation) for an example of why it is highly appropriate to list Tunnel of Love on the disambiguation page, even with out a useless redlink.

Euphemism[edit]

Is it worth mentioning that "tunnel of love" is also a euphemism for the vagina? Sylvar (talk) 15:15, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The primary purpose of this page is to list and distinguish the various Wikipedia articles whose titles are some variation on the phrase "tunnel of love", not to list every possible meaning of the phrase. Unless there's an actual article about the vagina that fits that criterion, it's outside the scope. — Paul A (talk) 04:20, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
