Venetian[edit]

The Venetian language page says they speak a variety Venetian here, is that the case?

It also says it was a Venetian outpost, but this article indicates it was Genovese. Can anyone clarify?207.6.233.239 17:41, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

"It was then ruled by the Byzantine Empire (8th - 9th century), the Genoese (10th - 13th century),..."

10th century is years 901-1000. The Republic of Genoa was founded in "ca. 1100", that's 11th - 12th century. Do I need a history lesson? --Illythr 00:57, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the comment above (Venetian), I wonder if was ruled by Venice? This would make more sense chronologically. Can anyone confirm? 66.183.217.31 00:18, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
