Pictures[edit]

Terramaster:

I really think this wiki could really benefit from pictures. Such as class sprites or something. Dont you?

As well as the fact that My camp and shops are also unmentioned. 142.23.41.146 (talk) 21:41, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Second Jobs[edit]

Terramaster:

I think this wiki should also have a Second/Third job article as well. Dont you?

This is an intreagle part of the game (or at least in my opinion) and should be listed with a Hierarchy as follows (with indents):

Title Type (power sense ect..) 1 job class 2nd job 3rd job a 3rd job b

This should also include a small description: in the case of hybrid sheep class: This class allows the sheep to take advantage of the dragon's second job skills.

This could also be complied under an existing section... No? 142.23.41.146 (talk) 21:35, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fansite Lists[edit]

There's a lot of pointless deletion of the fansites. They're all fairly valid sites, and it's perfectly reasonable to have them up in the Wikipedia article. Let's just build up a comprehensive list of the fansites and leave it alone.--Tactless 03:32, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So far we do have a very comprehensive fansites with alot of informations. -- Darknshadow 23:18, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Correct--this amount is sufficient and the article should retain this amount of links, give or take a few amendments. Slof 00:08, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the link to the 50 webs site because it has information how to get into jTrickster. I'm sure SOMEBODY remembers the jms incident and I think we need to close off connections to it before anything drastic happens.Xsaii 16:55, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No need to remove the 50 web also this is Trickster not like the MapleStory community which full of rude people and hackers. -- 66.215.71.146 00:38, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, what a fair and unbiased statement. I play MapleStory and the community isn't all bad. I think the link should remain though. CMyst 00:31, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
One, maybe two fansites should be listed. But also, from WP:EL#Links normally to be avoided: # Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace), discussion forums or USENET. Also, contrary to the commented-out remark in the article, Wikipedia is not a directory. Marasmusine 08:40, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Useless links should not be listed, even if they are related to Trickster Online in some way. And it's also not a good idea to flood an article with links. It will be less appealing to the eye.--MuzikalNotes 18:34, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since everyone has pretty much bought off on the fansites listed, I am changing the link to the English trickster wiki. The link in place has been dead for 2+ months. The original contributors moved to a new site, and that wiki gets updated at the rate of ~400 changes per day. The link in place now has *one* editor, outdated information, and is locked so that no one else may edit it. NoeJeko (talk) 15:23, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wiki link should stay as www.mytrickster.net - The MyTrickster Wiki is still the first result in all the search engines and has the most up to date content. By far the least amount of broken links and images.
I don't know where you're getting your information, but you are incorrect. They maybe at the top of the search engines, but their wiki is far behind and locked to all but one person for editing. Also, if you truly wanted to link to their wiki you would link the wiki, not the home page. NoeJeko (talk) 22:58, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone can see that your wiki is missing a great deal of information from the MyTrickster wiki. You should discuss it in here before changing the links. I just browsed a few pages and I could see dozens of links and images missing on your site. - Also the home page redirects to the wiki, that is the focus of the site, your site isn't specific to Trickster Online. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.237.87 (talk) 00:53, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did discuss it here. I'm really tired of getting wikistalked - it's quite annoying. NoeJeko (talk) 00:55, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone can also see that MyTrickster has been copying off of MyMMOGames's TO Wiki. --Kudaranai (talk) 00:09, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys, we don't need links to every version of this game for ever language. This is the English Wikipedia, let's just put up the English links unless there's a good reason to include a non-English link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.237.87 (talk) 05:03, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GameandGame[edit]

I was surprised GameandGame was not defined in the article. Any thoughts? Xsaii 01:12, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Furry Attire not necessary.[edit]

Trickster does not require players to wear the Furry Attire once they reach a certain level (I believe level 20). The game explains this as though it were a law created by some sort of NPC ruling official. I believe it's just a way to distinguish the newbies. --Ayelis 10:02, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Logo Replacment[edit]

They've changed the logo, can somebody fix that by moving the old as a thumbnail noting that the old logo is the old, and the new one to be posted on the article as the logo.

Frank0115932 03:20, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Ambrosia- 08:34, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trickster Revolution[edit]

A new version of Trickster Online (Global English), along with a new logo, has been released and it's called Trickster Online Revolution. The new version came in a patch [1] --71.105.105.175 06:04, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

I have removed the deletion notice in accordance with this clause: "You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to its deletion for any reason.". I have added citations from the publisher's site - I believe it doesn't get more reliable than the guys that sell the site. There is, however, only so much that you can cite "published, reliable sources" for a game; no one writes their master's thesis on an MMORPG.

Initially, I thought to link more sections with references from the Trickster Wiki but I had a feeling the reliability of the wiki would be in question. That said, there are over 100 active contributors to this wiki and it remains the most current source of information (outside of Ntreev USA's official site) for the English version of Trickster Online.

I have also removed the link to mmohub as it adds no value to the article. I have left the reference for Trickster Wiki in place as it provides players with a wealth of information regarding the game.

Furthermore, the repeated attempts to change the Wiki link to the MyTrickster Wiki should be regarded as vandalism. That wiki has not received an update in well over a month - prior to that it was updated by one individual for approximately one month, and received no edits for approximately two months preceding that. It is not a current, reliable source and should not be included in the list of external sites. NoeJeko (talk) 07:52, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is established through references from reliable, third-party published sources. It doesn't necessarily have to be a thesis; articles in things like PC Gamer or Wired count. Wyatt Riot (talk) 09:13, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Got that. As I get time, I'll try to find other sources than the Ntreev USA site to use as references in this but at least now it has some official references in it. NoeJeko (talk) 06:24, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Links removals[edit]

Nicolice (talk) 05:23, 12 November 2008 (UTC) someone re-edited the entry again by removing the entry to active wiki for Trickster Online.[reply]

Nicolice (talk) 11:04, 27 November 2008 (UTC) Again, this ip 74.13.82.41 seems keep editing and deleting the link to an active wiki website for Trickster Online, thus this can causes other players hard to find the up-to-date information related to Trickster Online game.[reply]

It was removed because the link violates our external links policy. Wyatt Riot (talk) 11:10, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nicolice (talk) 00:05, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Lol, it's English fansite wiki for Trickster Online, and someone as this ip 74.13.82.41 vandalized our wiki and also removing the entry here. This english fansite wiki is where most players found their information for the game, up to date info about the game, also the wiki[reply]

   * Is the site content accessible to the reader? - Yes, it's up to date, and serves as 'wiki' for the player
   * Is the site content proper in the context of the article (useful, tasteful, informative, factual, etc.)? - refer to above
   * Is the link functional and likely to remain functional? - Daily, weekly updates.

^ meet all the specifications for that. So I hope you reconsider it, thanks.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicolice (talkcontribs)

Under WP:LINKSTOAVOID, "open wikis" are specifically excluded. If it were the official site for the game and updated only by the developers, maybe, but not as it is. The fact that someone is vandalizing it is probably the best reason to exclude it here. Wyatt Riot (talk) 09:27, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nicolice (talk) 02:32, 9 December 2008 (UTC)Then, you should do the same thing to other entries as well, well, it's like over 95% of wikipedia entries have links to fansites as well, I could name some of them if you want. What is my point is, that you can't just removes any links especially related to gaming fansites, as those players will need their information in games, and how to play them much. Hope you get my point here. About vandalizing, yes, we've that guy under control and he's banned from our site, and he tries to confuses people here instead.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicolice (talkcontribs) [reply]

I understand your point, but Wikipedia is not a game guide. Please, let us know when you find links to fan sites, or remove them yourself, as they have no place in an encyclopedia. Wyatt Riot (talk) 19:50, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In reply of above sentence...there's lots of wiki articles that even promotes other fansites, forums, 3rd party websites...and no action taken like this one? For example - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul_of_the_Ultimate_Nation

Scroll down and there's "unofficial links" links to fansites, forums...etc etc..not to get mentioned about other wiki that relates to other games as well.

So much discrimination? ...please 124.13.30.47 (talk) 06:53, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:OTHERSTUFF, something existing on another on another article doesn't mean it's justified here. On that article, the content is also in violation of WP:EL. Eik Corell (talk) 22:00, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That means someone have to edit out every external links listed in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Massively_multiplayer_online_role-playing_games

Like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MapleStory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Age_of_Camelot ? 203.82.92.158 (talk) 01:07, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was move to Trickster Online with no prejudice toward future discussion for the inclusion or not of "R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N." JPG-GR (talk) 20:13, 19 February 2009 (UTC) Proposed to move this page back to Trickster Online for Trickster Online is the official name recognized by the developers/publishers, Ntreev USA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DarkSteps (talkcontribs) 06:26, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The full title actually seems to be "Trickster Online R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N.", I would support a move to that. TJ Spyke 19:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The version with all the periods is probably deprecated per WP:MOS-TM. Dekimasuよ! 03:36, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

However, R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. is just a version name that is distributed for the English version just like how the Japanese version is called Trickster Love. This wiki covers Trickster Online in general as well as different regions. So Trickster Online as it's name and is still considered the official name as indicated through ntreev.net DarkSteps (talk) 02:16, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the English Wikipedia, meaning the articles (including games) are supposed to use the English names if there is one. If it's the same game but with different names, than my suggestion is the correct one and I stand by it. TJ Spyke 23:46, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

However, like I pointed out, R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. is just a version nickname. Sorta like how some games put the word version 2 in front of their game to represent there is a new change of updates and things are going to be different with new changes and things to be redone. Therefore, R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. could be dropped in the possible future and be changed again for a new season. DarkSteps (talk) 07:23, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

New Owner[edit]

It would appear that Game Rage owns Trickster now. Ambiesushi (talk) 22:31, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's back.[edit]

I checked the Trickster site today. It's apparently still functional in the US under "Trickster Private Server." There are current-day updates, an active forum, news about updates, a live Facebook page, & you can still download the game (albeit not from the red button, but from the pink bar). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:8:B580:80B:C8B0:68F0:9B16:358B (talk) 06:56, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
