Proposed deletion[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Beatles Tributes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to pay tribute to individuals who are described in an encyclopedic way in their individual articles. See What Wikipedia is Not.

The article was not supposed to be paying tributes to the Beatles, but rather to summarize notable ones given to Lennon and Harrison. If it was a tribute then in would be something different. --Feeling free (talk) 00:12, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In response to the message left on my talk page ...
The title says "Tribute". So, to use an old adage: If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ... it's a duck. There is no doubt this is a tribute, which is not encyclopedic and does not belong in Wikipedia. Truthanado (talk) 05:24, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Its not a tribute and if you read the article carefully, their is no place where I say "John Lennon was a feckin' great man and OMG he was just brilliant and he is sorely missed" or anything like that. Basically, all I do is list some notable things concerning Lennon and Harrison which occurred after their death. --Feeling free (talk) 15:06, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
