Critical Reception update[edit]

Unsure of the exact way to correct this, given that it's an error in the quote from O'Brien from AllMusic. I believe the group he intends to reference is Delerium with an E as opposed to Delirium. What would be the correct way of preserving the quote (i.e., [sic]), whilst also linking to the relevant Wiki page for Delerium? Dgikmo (talk) 18:37, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss112: Hello, pinging you for assistance on this matter! I failed to find a guideline on Wikipedia which would explain correcting internal errors made by an author on a reliable source, so should the quote in the subject matter be left uncorrected? I know content are meant to be directly taken unedited from a source based on WP:V guidelines, but this seems to be something that should be corrected from the original source. aNode (discuss) 04:09, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@ANode: We have WP:QUOTE, which says: "Unexpected errors, imperfections and styles can be marked with " [sic]"[6]—using the template {{sic}}— or "[emphasis in the original]", to indicate that the error is in the original source. Exceptions are trivial spelling or typographical errors that obviously do not affect the intended meaning; these may be silently corrected." Generally, if you want to be specific, stick with the original and use the sic template, or correct it if you think that's the obvious intention and that nobody will take issue with it. @Dgikmo: Edit has been made, check if it's alright. I couldn't link to the actual Delerium page though, but I stated the correction in the sic template like this: {sic|explained=Delerium} for future editors to see. aNode (discuss) 10:48, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@ANode: Makes sense to me. Thanks for the update. Dgikmo (talk) 14:40, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Dgikmo: No problem! Feel free to add further to the article if you can, it may need a background section and further reviews :) aNode (discuss) 15:20, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
